[Problem] To easily produce a wall-surface greening material suitable for wall-surface greening with respect to a wide area of a building. [Solution] This method is for producing a wall-surface greening material that is arranged along a wall-surface part of a building in order to green said wall-surface part, the wall-surface greening material comprising: a climbing plant (11) that develops holdfast roots from a point partway of the stem of the plant； a bottom end pot (12) containing a culture medium in which normal roots of the climbing plant are enrooted； and a lower-side intermediate pot (13) arranged at a point partway of the stem and containing a culture medium in which the holdfast roots are enrooted. The method is characterized by involving: a first step of growing the stem of the climbing plant (11) while letting the stem hang down in a state where the bottom end pot (12), in which the normal roots have enrooted in the culture medium, is placed on a shelf (61)； a second step of holding the tip-end part of the stem, which is hanging down, in a state where the tip-end part is pressed against the culture medium in the lower-side intermediate pot (13), which is placed on the ground surface, until the holdfast roots enroot in the culture medium； and a third step of growing the stem while letting the stem hang down in a state where the lower-side intermediate pot (13) has been moved to a high place on the shelf (61).【課題】建物の広い範囲に対する壁面緑化に適した壁面緑化材を容易に製造する。【解決手段】 つるの途中から付着根が発根されるつる性植物１１と、つる性植物の定根を根付かせる培地が収容された下端ポット１２と、付着根を根付かせる培地が収容され、つるの途中に配置された下側中間ポット１３とを有し、建物の壁面部を緑化するために、壁面部に添って配置される壁面緑化材の製造方法であって、定根を培地に根付かせた下端ポット１２を棚６１に設置した状態で、つる性植物１１のつるを垂下させつつ生長させる第１工程と、垂下した状態のつるの先端部分を、地表に設置された下側中間ポット１３内の培地に押し付けた状態で、付着根が培地に根付くまで保持する第２工程と、下側中間ポット１３を高所に棚６１した状態で、つるを垂下させつつ生長させる第３工程とを行うことを特徴としている。
