This application discloses an improved approach for delivering Tumor TreatingFields(TTFields) at a therapeutically effective strength to the infratentorialregions of the brain. Afirst set of electrode elements is positioned on top of the head and a secondset of electrodeelernents is positioned on the back of the neck. Third and fourth sets ofelectrode elements arepositioned on the lower back right and the lower back left portions of thescalp, respectively.Applying an AC voltage between the first and second sets of electrode elementsgenerates agenerally vertical field in the infratentorial regions of the brain； andapplying an AC voltagebetween the third and fourth sets of electrode elements generates a generallyhorizontal fieldin those regions.
