PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical guide wire, attaining excellent visibility of a fiber scope in the body, and facilitating acquiring the position of a guide wire in inserting the guide wire into the body or extracting the same from the body.SOLUTION: This medical guide wire includes a core material 11 having a tip part A with a smaller diameter than the base side, an intermediate part B connected to the tip part A and extended toward the base side to form a portion inserted in the body, and a proximal end part C connected to the intermediate part B and further extended toward the base side to form a portion not inserted in the body.
