Garden refuse, particularly dead plants, is cut up with the aid of a tool which has a support (1) formed from a short length of angle section. A cylindrical block (6) is mounted on the upper edge of the vertical flange (4). This block (6) has a central hole which forms the bearing for a shaft which has a lever (8) attached to its outer end. The outer end of the lever (8) is provided with a hand-grip (11) and a blade (9) is attached to the lower edge. The material to be cut is placed on the horizontal flange of the angle section and the lever (8) is swung downward. USE - Disposal of garden refuse.
