PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow connection to various kinds of male connectors having different shapes and sizes, and to facilitate connection work to the male connectors.SOLUTION: This female connector connected to a male connector having a tubular part from which a liquid body flows out includes: an adapter 30 mounted onto the peripheral surface of the tubular part and a handle 50 covering the adapter. The adapter includes an insertion part 31 having an opening in one end thereof, and the insertion part includes a first insertion part 311 and a second insertion part 312 in this order. In at least a part of the insertion part in the circumferential direction, a distance from the central axis 20a of the adapter to the peripheral surface of the first insertion part is larger than a distance from the central axis of the adapter to the peripheral surface of the second insertion part, so that the peripheral face of the insertion part includes a level difference face 313.
