PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon catheter, when performing a guide-wire type procedure, capable of preventing a tip end of the guide wire from colliding with a narrow section or the like and from applying a large load thereto.SOLUTION: A balloon catheter 100 includes a tubular body 10, a balloon 80, an operation wire, and an operation part body 50. The balloon 80 is inflatable and provided at a distal end DE of the tubular body 10, and to which a first lumen is communicated. The operation wire is slidably inserted into a second lumen, and a tip end thereof is connected to the distal end DE of the tubular body 10. A contrast medium or a guide wire Gw is inserted into a third lumen. A proximal end of the operation wire is connected to the operation part body 50 and, when the operation part body 50 is pulled, a distal side of the distal end DE of the tubular body 10 that is at least more distal than the balloon 80 is bent.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
