A system for analyzing wound states includes an image capture device and an image analysis device. The image capture device is configured to obtain a plurality of infrared (IR) images of a part of user body including a wound at different time points, wherein the IR images includes a first IR image captured at a first time point and a second IR image captured at a second time point, the first IR image includes a first vessel pattern of the part of the user body, and second IR image includes a second vessel pattern of the part of the user body. The image analysis device couples to the image capture device and includes a wound detection module, an image information calibration module and a wound analysis module. The wound detection module is configured to detect a first wound region and a second wound region corresponding to the wound from the first IR image and the second IR image, respectively. The image information calibration module is configured to obtain a first group of features by identifying features outside the first wound pattern in the first IR image, obtain a second group of features by identifying features outside the second wound pattern in the second IR image, generate calibration information according to the first and second groups of features, and align the second IR image with the first IR image by using the calibration information, so as to generated a calibrated image.
