The invention relates to methods of preparing tissue implants for use in theaugmentation, repair and regeneration of tissues. The method of preparing suchtissue implant is carried out in vitro, and involves providing cells isolatedfrom a tissuesource； seeding at least two primary scaffolds with the cells and culturingthe at leasttwo primary scaffolds for a period of time sufficient for the cells to secreteanextracellular matrix； and subsequently loading the at least two primaryscaffoldsobtained into a secondary scaffold, whereby the secondary scaffold containsandprotects the at least two primary scaffolds.
