A food grade hose coupling (100) consists of two coupling parts and an o-ring (100c) that can be located on either coupling part, The first part (100b) has an internal conical sealing surface and a plurality of locking slots or recesses (121b) on the external wall (122b), and a body (110b) for interference fitting inside a hose. The second part (100a) fits inside the internal bore of the first coupling part and has an external conical sealing surface, and matching locking posts or cams(121a) on the external wall (122a) that provide an interference fit within the slots, and a body (110a) for interference fitting inside a hose.
