A multi-layered wound dressing comprising: a fibrous absorbent layer for absorbing exudate from a wound； and a support layer configured to reduce shrinkage of at least a portion of the wound dressing. The dressing may have a liquid impermeable film layer. The support layer may comprise a net 200 that may comprise a structure 204 having a plurality of geometric apertures 202. The structure may comprise a plurality of evenly spaced bosses 206 joined by polymer strands 208 forming geometric 202 apertures. The support layer may be located directly adjacent the absorbent layer and the support layer may comprise a bonding layer where the support layer is heat laminated to the absorbent layer fibres via the bonding layer. The dressing may further comprise a wound contact layer adjacent the absorbent layer and the dressing may also include a fluid transport layer between the wound contact layer and the absorbent layer. Also a negative pressure wound therapy kit comprising a multi-layered wound dressing and a negative pressure source in fluid connection with the dressing. Also a method of manufacturing a multi-layer wound dressing comprising the lamination of an absorbent layer with a support layer configured to reduce shrinking of the dressing.
