The assembly comprises a fixedly disposed upright (5) which forms a suspension for a light source (6), and a cart (7) with a carrier (12) which is displaceable from and close to or even against the upright (5), and a container (13) for placing on or at the carrier (12) for the purpose of accommodating at least one plant (17,18). At least one of the upright (5), the light source (6), the cart (7), the carrier (12) and the container (13) may comprise a reflector and/or a light diffuser. Also, a heater with which disinfection is possible, preferably in a closed environment such as a cabin (1). Further, shaping of the upright (5) and the cart (7) for the most compact possible mutual engagement.
