PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water environment improving apparatus having a simple configuration and capable of improving water environment by suppressing growth of blue-green algae and water plants growing at stagnant places in a river and the like.SOLUTION: A water environment improving apparatus 1 is used, with it disposed at a water-plant (wp) growing water area, generates a turbulent flow towards the water plants wp, stresses the water plants wp, and suppresses the growth of the water plants wp to improve the water environment. The water environment improving apparatus includes: self-induced vibration bodies 10 that vibrate by themselves by jet of fluid (water) supplied from the outside and generate the turbulent flow and vibration-body holding members 11 and 11 that hold the self-induced vibration bodies 10.
