The present invention provides the novel use of peroxidases, lactoferrin,lactoferrin peptides, lysozymes and immunoglobulins (used alone and/orcombined) for the control of microbial biofilms after the action of growthfactors (used alone and/or combined) on the epithelial and fibroblast cells toremove micro-organism biofilms adherent on cell surfaces. The presentinvention also relates to the use of peroxidases, lactoferrin, lactoferrinpeptides, lysozymes and immunoglobulins (used alone and/or combined) incombination with growth factors (used alone and/or combined) for thepreparation of medicaments for the prophylaxis or therapy of infectiousdiseases caused by microorganisms present in biofilms adherent on cellsurfaces.
