PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a butt end structure of a fishing rod including a retainer of a power source cord capable of quickly coping with sideway running of fish, while suppressing application of vibration force to a connection part between an electric reel and the power source cord.SOLUTION: A grip part 2 is formed on a butt end structure of a butt rod 1, and a groove 2A for a cord where a power source cord 4 for an electric reel is placed is formed on the grip part 2 along an axis of the butt rod 1.
