PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iris data registration device capable of reducing the time required for registration of a piece of iris data used for authentication.SOLUTION: An electronic apparatus performs a series of iris authentication processing using a piece of iris data which includes a pupil. The electronic apparatus changes the illuminance when picking up an image of the pupil to the illuminance which is brighter or darker than the illuminance at the start of imaging by using change of pupil size which changes depending on the illuminance and an allowable range of error in the iris authentication using the iris data of picked up image of the pupil.
