The present invention relates to a lettuce (Lactuca sativa) plant, which has the resistance against Nasonovia ribisnigri biotype 1 (Nr: 1) as found in plants grown from seeds of Lactuca serriola 1OG.913571 representative seeds of which were deposited under NCIMB accession number 41775. Such a lettuce plant is obtainable by introgressing the resistance to Nasonovia risbisnigri Nr :1 as found in Lactuca serriola 1OG.913571 representative seeds of which were deposited under NCIMB accession number 41775 into a plant that is not resistant.
