PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spacer and an expansion device capable of suppressing a positional deviation of the spacer when filling the spacer with a filler, thereby reliably expanding a space between bones.SOLUTION: An expansion device 10 is for expanding a space between bones and includes a spacer 18 which is configured so as to be expandable and is disposed between bones, a catheter 16 provided with the spacer 18 at its leading edge which guides a filler into the spacer 18, and a sheath 12 into which the catheter 16 is inserted, and which has a lumen 14 in which the spacer 18 before being expanded can be accommodated.
