PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article for which both side parts of a discharge part area abutted to the body fluid discharge part of a wearer are not easily deformed in the direction to the center line even when compression force toward the center line extending in the longitudinal direction acts when it is worn, twists are not easily generated in the absorbent article and the fitness of the discharge part area is improved.
SOLUTION: A napkin 1 is the vertically long one provided with a surface sheet 2, a back surface sheet 3 and the absorbent body 4 disposed between the sheets 2 and 3. The absorbent body 4 of the sanitary napkin 1 is provided with a constricted part 43 constricted inwards on the side part 4b of the center in the longitudinal direction (Y direction). For the sanitary napkin 1, a plurality of compressed line grooves 7 curved in a convex shape to the outer part of the width direction (X direction) are formed at the respective side parts 2b and 4b of the surface sheet 2 and the absorbent body 4 in the discharge part area A at a position corresponding to the constricted part 43.
