For ground spraying, a beam with jets is attached to an agricultural machine across the direction of travel. The carrier liquid and the active ingredient are delivered through the liquid feed lines (8,10) at a constant pressure to the jets (7). On changing the strength of the sprayed liquid, the volumes of the carrier and active ingredient liquids are altered without a change in pressure.
