[003] The present invention relates to a formulation of combination therapy for treatment of bone disorders. The formulation comprises copper nanoparticle, risedronate sodium, carbopol 934P, ethanol, polypropylene glycol, triethanolamine, hydrochloric acid and rose water. The copper nanoparticle is biocompatible resulting in controlled release of copper thus reducing the toxicity. The present invention also discloses the method of preparation of gel comprising the combination of copper nanoparticle and risedronate sodium. The composition is useful for topical administration and exhibits synergistic effect against bone remodeling. The formulation increases bioavailability of risedronate sodium, improves bone health without inducing gastric discomfort and is effective against bone disorders. (Figure 1)
