PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for producing Stx2e B subunit protein using a plant of immunogenic protein usable as a vaccine for porcine edema disease caused by Shiga toxin (Stx)2e, concretely, provide the technique for producing Stx2e B subunit protein suppressed of sugar chain modification.SOLUTION: DNA encoding modified Stx2e B subunit protein prepared by modifying a partial amino acid sequence consisting of Asn-X-Cys at 55-57th positions of an amino acid sequence of Stx2e B subunit protein having a specific sequence is brought to be expressed in plant cells.
