PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly safe and excellent prophylactic and therapeutically improving agent for gray hair which does not exhibit any hormone-like effects and in which the concentration of an active ingredient is easy to control.SOLUTION: The prophylactic and therapeutically improving agent for gray hair is incorporated with at least one of acetyl tyrosine produced by acetylation of tyrosine and salts thereof while focusing on tyrosine which is a melanogenesis material of skin.
