PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water absorption sheet structure having excellent liquid diffusivity, a high liquid permeation speed and a small liquid return amount, and further preventing an offensive odor generated from a body fluid and having antibacterial and deodorant capability even in the water absorption sheet structure having very few hydrophilic fibers such as pulp or the like, and provide an absorbent article formed by using the water absorption sheet structure.SOLUTION: A water absorption sheet structure is so constructed that an absorption layer containing water absorptive resin and an adhesive is held from above and below the absorption layer by non-woven fabric. The absorption layer is a water absorption sheet structure further containing powder of quartz diorite porphyrite.
