The invention relates to device for injecting fluid in animals, in particular by intranasal administration, comprising syringe body (2), a hollow syringe piston provided with a pusher (7) and extending beyond the pusher (7) via a closeable tubular area (9) that can be connected to a supply tank for the fluid to be injected, the member (10) for blocking the tubular area (9) and the member (4) for blocking the fluid discharge outlet (1), each provided with means (11, 5) for returning same in the closed position and being respectively adapted for going from the closed position to the open position, i.e. one (10) when the piston exits the syringe body (2) and the other (4) upon insertion into the syringe body (2). The piston is provided with means (12) for returning same in a position where it is at least partially outside the syringe body (2), and the syringe body (2) is longitudinally lined by two radial tabs (131) which are outside the body (2) and are spaced apart from one another along an axis substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the syringe body (2) and defining therebetween a bearing area (132) for at least one finger capable of at least partially surrounding said syringe body (2).
