PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that diabetes patients suffer, for example, some patients feel ashamed when eating out because there are no blood testing apparatus that can be operated with one hand within a pocket or the like without being seen from others.SOLUTION: A blood testing apparatus comprises an enclosure 22, a display section 23 arranged on the enclosure 22, a sensor 33 installed on the enclosure 22, a laser emitting device 26 for puncturing the skin 13 via the sensor 33, and an electrical circuit section 27 connected to the sensor 33 and the display section 23. The enclosure 22 has a bell-shaped front face 22a and rectangular upper and side faces 22b and 22c. The shape of the enclosure allows a user to grip and operate the apparatus with one hand.
