PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking type seedling transplanter which restricts rotation of a travel wheel by operating a brake even in a neutral state of a gear shift lever, thereby preventing the seedling transplanter from moving automatically along an inclination.SOLUTION: The walking type seedling transplanter includes in a transmission case 1: a counter gear shaft 2 rotated in an interlocked manner with an engine a seedling planting output shaft 4 in an interlocked manner with the counter gear shaft 2 via a seedling planting shift gear 3 a main clutch 5 provided on the counter gear shaft 2 a travel shaft 8 interlocked with the counter gear shaft 2 via a gear shift shaft 7 arranged with a travel shift gear 6 and a brake 9 for parking arranged on the travel shift shaft 7 arranged with the travel shift gear 6.
