PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal member preventing unnecessary expansion or deformation and to provide an exercise assist device with the seal member.
SOLUTION: The seal member 1 includes a funnel-like braided body 2, one end opening material 4 mutually fixing one ends 31 of a plurality of flexible line materials 3 constituting the braided body 2, the other end opening material 5 mutually fixing the other ends 32 of the plurality of flexible line materials 3, an airtight sheet 6 closing an interval between the one end opening material 4 and the other end opening material 5 and covering the braided body 2, and an elastic sheet 7 disposed inside the braided body 2. The braided body 2 is formed by bending a plurality of flexible line materials 3 into a loose spiral shape around a geometric central line O and braiding it into a braid.
