An apparatus for preparing food using hot air. The apparatus comprises: a pot, and a food preparation chamber (1) provided inside the pot. A hot air channel (9) is provided between an inner vertical wall (5) of the pot and the food preparation chamber (1). Inside the hot air channel (9), the inner vertical wall (5) of the pot is provided with an air guide structure (7) for guiding downwardly flowing hot air toward a bottom of the food preparation chamber (1) to enter the food preparation chamber (1). The air guide structure (7) provided on the inner vertical wall (5) of the pot inside the hot air channel (9) disrupts a regular path of motion of the hot air, immediately forces the hot air to enter the food preparation chamber (1) in the direction of the air guide structure (7) so as to heat food, and quickly discharges moisture evaporated from the food to the outside. The apparatus has the effects of quickly and homogeneously baking food and is easy to clean.
