PURPOSE: A Puerariae flos extract is provided to suppress cell migration and adhesion, and COX-2, MCP-1, and PANTES expression, and to prevent and treat endometriosis and complication thereof. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating endometriosis and complication thereof contains a Puerariae flos extract. The extract is prepared by extracting with water, C_1-C_5 alcohol, or a mixture thereof. Endometriosis and complication thereof are caused overexpression of MMP-2, MMP-9, COX-2, MCP-1, or RANTES.본 발명은 갈화(Puerariae Flos) 추출물을 유효성분으로 함유하는 자궁내막증 및 이의 합병증의 예방 또는 치료용 약학적 조성물에 관한 것으로, 더욱 구체적으로는 갈화(Puerariae Flos) 추출물은 자궁내막증 세포의 이동 및 부착을 억제하고, 이동 및 부착 관련 인자인 MMP-2 및 MMP-9의 발현을 억제하고, 통증 관련 인자인 COX-2의 발현을 억제하고, 염증 관련 사이토카인인 MCP-1 및 RANTES의 발현을 억제하는 활성을 가짐으로써 자궁내막증 및 이의 합병증의 예방 또는 치료용 약학적 조성물, 및 건강식품의 유효성분으로 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
