The present invention relates to a breakable surgical screw (1) for bone repair, comprising i) a threaded distal shaft (2) for implantation in the bone and ii) a proximal shaft (3) for screwing the shaft distal in the bone, said distal and proximal rods being connected to each other by a breakable zone allowing the separation of said proximal rod by bending the latter relative to said distal rod, characterized in that the breakable area comprises a tubular portion (7) connecting said distal shaft to said proximal shaft, said tubular portion having a cylindrical wall provided with at least three windows (10) uniformly distributed along a circumference of said wall.
