The present invention relates to a tissue graft 2 for use in a surgical method, wherein the tissue graft 2 is derived from a portion of an iliotibial band (IT band) and wherein the tissue graft 2 is an allograft. The surgical method may be repairing pelvic organ prolapse, treating stress incontinence or ventral mesh rectopexy in a subject suffering from rectal prolapse. In one embodiment the IT band includes a tendon of the gluteus maximus and fascia lata, but excluded the tensor fascia lata. The tissue graft 2 may be coated with an antimicrobial substance. The graft 2 may comprise a substantially rectangular major portion having a length 3 and a width 4, and two minor elongate portions 5a, 5b having a smaller length 7 and width 8, wherein there is a recess 6 in between the two minor portions 5a, 5b. There may further be one or more suture holes 9.
