An automatic watering and holding device of the present invention comprises: a holder which is long and hard, and holds a plant to prevent the same from falling a switch which controls whether the device is powered a sensor which senses change in color of leaves a water storage container which stores water and discharges the same and an open/close button which supplies water, wherein the holder and the amount of water are varied depending on the size of a planter. The object of the present invention is to address the problem where houseplants too often die of thirst and neglect with people who are busy working long hours away from home or in homes that are frequently vacant. The present invention may contribute to cutting the cost of purchasing a new plant every time the previous plant dies, and may be utilized during periods when a user is too busy to care for the plant. Specifically, the automatic watering and holding device of the present invention comprises: an RGB color sensor which detects change in color of leaves, and provides a signal a switch in which an upper button indicates ON, and a lower button indicates OFF a water supply open/close button which supplies 200 ml of water (for a planter with 15 cm height) and a water storage container which supplies water when provided with an input signal, wherein once the input signal is provided by the RGB color sensor, a fixed amount of water is discharged by a watering member. Accordingly, the automatic watering and holding device of the present invention prevents plants from dying of thirst, and allows users to have more choices when shopping for plants without being limited to the species of plants that can survive without being watered for extended periods, and to freely choose plants according to their personal preference. Thus, the present invention enables the plants to thrive for a long time, thereby cutting the cost associated with repeatedly purchasing a new plant every time the previous plant dies.COPYRI
