The invention relates to a hemostatic composition in powder form comprising:- collagen of the fibrillar type comprising a content of fibrous collagen and/or fibrillar collagen of at least 70% by weight relative to the total weight of the collagen, said collagen being in a content ranging from 70% to 99% by weight relative to the total weight of the composition,- at least one monosaccharide in a content ranging from 1% to 12.5% by weight relative to the total weight of the composition, and- at least one coagulation factor in a content ranging from 0.01 IU/mg to 20 IU/mg.The invention further relates to a method for preparing such hemostatic composition, and to a kit comprising such hemostatic composition as well as a spraying device.
