PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the burden that hangs in a patient from increasing.SOLUTION: A breath assist device 70 includes: a mask 13 that covers users mouth and nose a source 11 that is directly connected to the mask 13 and sends off the gas that becomes intake. The breath assist device 70 is provided with a micro pump 100 as the source 11. Moreover, the breath assist device 70 is provided with an exhalation valve 15 disposed to cover a vent hole 13a formed to the mask 13.
