<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevated cultivation apparatus for performing elevated cultivation preventing contamination with pathogenic bacteria in the ground, and enabling cultivation using a large amount of culture soil to create a growing environment and taste similarly to soil cultivation. ??<P>SOLUTION: This elevated cultivation apparatus includes a pair of right and left supporting bodies 2 which are assembled with a plurality of pipe materials 21 and 22, and arranged on the ground in a standing state, a water permeable sheet member 3 whose both of the right and left sides are bridged over a pair of the supporting bodies 2 to provide a middle part as a holding part 32 with an opened top and which is suspended between a pair of the supporting bodies 2, a crushed stone layer 4 which is filled at the bottom of the sheet member 3, a water permeable middle layer 5 which contains solid mass having charcoal or/and converter slag produced in burning of a plant material, as an active ingredient, and is formed by piling up the solid mass on the crushed stone layer 4, and a culture soil layer 6 which is piled up on the middle layer 5.
