The one or more sensors (206, 208) are configured to monitor and collect data associated with user activity and user interaction with the activity monitoring device (200). The one or more processors (212) are configured to perform predefined computations on the data collected by the one or more sensors (206,208). The display is configured to render one or more of the results of the predefined computations (206, 208). The reusable strap (204) is adaptable to cooperate with a body part of a user and includes one ore more housing (228) adaptable to receive one or more components of the monitoring assembly (202). Each housing (228) is further adaptable to enable extraction of the one or more components of the monitoring assembly (202) while retaining physical and functional attributes of each of the reusable strap (204) and the monitoring assembly (202).
