PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surfactant composition exhibiting good fluidity over a wide temperature range even if containing a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether sulfate salt or alkyl sulfate salt in high concentrations, with no occurrence of viscosity rise or gelation when diluted, and free of decline in the performance inherent in surfactant, and useful for producing skin cleansers or hair cleansers including shampooes and body shampooes.SOLUTION: The surfactant composition comprises (A) the polyoxyethylene alkyl ether sulfate salt of the general formula(1):R1O(CH2CH2O)nSO3M, (B) an alcohol alkylene oxide adduct of the general formula(2):R2O-(AO)m-R3 and (C) a water-soluble salt.
