According to the method, lamp light at a certain light intensity is used for irradiating sugarcane growth points at night so as to interrupt the night growth cycle of the sugarcane and to interfere the flower bud differentiation and young ear development period of the sugarcane, so that the effects of delay flowering and continuous flowering of sugarcane early flowering parents are achieved, and the problem of asynchronous flowering periods of sugarcane hybridization parents is solved. By the method, the requirement of different flowering periods during sugarcane sexual hybridization combination and assortative mating can be met. The goal of wide hybridization combination and assortative mating of early flowering parents is achieved. The breeding efficiency of good new varieties with properties of multi-resistance, high sugar content and high biomass is improved. The problem of asynchronous flowering period of the sugarcane early flowering parents is solved. The utilization efficiency of the sugarcane early flowering parents is improved； the completion of the sugarcane sexual hybridization combination and assortative mating is realized； the sugarcane variety is improved and breakthrough variety breeding process is promoted.
