A muscular strength assisting apparatus (10) includes a first attachment tool (20) mounted to one of two parts of a human body, which are connected together via a joint, a second attachment tool (30) mounted to the other part of the human body, and a rotary member (50) rotatably supported to the first attachment tool and connected to the second attachment tool. A force for stopping rotation or rotating with respect to the first attachment tool is exerted on the rotary member.
