PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a changing instrument by which an indwelling catheter is easily changed.SOLUTION: The changing instrument 1 is used for removing the indwelling catheter 40 from the inside of a body cavity D and for inserting the indwelling catheter 40 for the replacement and includes an outer cylinder 10 and an inner cylinder 20 which is inserted into the outer cylinder 10 to make a tube 41 penetrate through the inside. The inner cylinder 20 is made of a flexible member and includes a plurality of slits 24 formed along a length direction. The outer cylinder 10 is made of an elastic member for suppressing the outward expansion of an inner cylinder body 21.
