PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article making the fixing part of a wing part forming material and a body part to come into contact with the skin, capable of strongly fixing the wing part forming material to the body part and making wing parts hard to detach from the body part even if the wing parts are pulled in use of the absorbent article.SOLUTION: The absorbent article 1 includes a longitudinally extending body 5 equipped with a surface sheet 2, a back sheet 3 and the absorber 4 arranged between both sheets and a pair of the wing parts 6 and 6 extending from both side edges of the body 5. The wing parts 6 are formed using separate wing part forming materials 62 so that one side edges 63 positioned on the side of the body 5 of the wing part forming materials 62 are fixed across the surface sheet 2 and the back sheet 3 and the other side edges 64 of the wing part forming materials 62 are arranged so as to outward extend from the side edges 21 and 31 of both of the surface sheet 2 and the back sheet 3.
