PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods of extracting and recovering embryonic like stem cells, such as multipotent or pluripotent stem cells, from a human exsanguinated placenta； to provide methods of using a placenta isolated and perfused as a bioreactor for proliferating endogenous cells including, but not limited to, embryonic-like stem cells； and to provide methods of recovering proliferated endogenous cells and bioactive molecules by proliferating endogenous cells in a placenta bioreactor.SOLUTION: An exsanguinated placenta is treated by perfusing preferably with an anticoagulant solution and by washing out residual cells, in order to remove residual cord blood. After collecting residual cells and perfusate from the exsanguinated placenta, the embryonic-like stem cells are separated from the residual cells and perfusate.SELECTED DRAWING: None【課題】瀉血したヒト胎盤から、多分化能性または多能性幹細胞などの胚様幹細胞を抽出及び回収する方法の提供。単離及び灌流した胎盤を、胚様幹細胞を含むがこれに限らない内在性細胞を増殖させるためのバイオリアクターとして利用する方法の提供。胎盤バイオリアクターにおいて内在性細胞を増殖させ、増殖した内在性細胞及び生物活性分子を回収する方法の提供。【解決手段】瀉血した胎盤を、好ましくは抗凝固剤溶液を用いて、灌流して残留細胞を洗い流すことにより胎盤を処理して、残留臍帯血を除去する。瀉血した胎盤からの残留細胞および灌流液を収集した後、この残留細胞および灌流液から胚様幹細胞を分離する。【選択図】なし
