The invention relates to a liquid enteral nutritional composition comprising a specifically designed pea-based protein fraction, a fat fraction, and optionally a dietary fibre fraction, (a) which meets all nutritional needs in accordance with the general recommendations for a healthy and balanced diet, (b) which is well- tolerated and minimises clinical complications that are frequently associated with the administration of enteral nutrition in patients using tube feeding, especially with respect to a reduced gastric emptying, and (c) which is suitable for tube feeding. The liquid enteral nutritional composition comprises an innovative and novel pea-based protein fraction comprising more than 25 weight% and up to 80 weight% of a vegetable protein comprising at least a source of pea protein, and an innovative and novel fat fraction comprising (a) 8 to 15 weight% of linoleic acid (LA); (b) 3.0 to 6.0 weight% of a combination consisting of the Ï -3 poly- unsaturated fatty acids alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), wherein the amount of ALA >; 2.5 weight% and the combined amount of DHA and EPA â ¤ 2.5 weight%; (c) 10 to 20 weight% of at least one medium-chain fatty acid (MCFA); and (d) 35 to 79 weight% of at least one mono-unsaturated fatty acid (MUFA).La invención se refiere a una composición nutricional enteral líquida que comprende una fracción de proteína basada en chícharo específicamente diseñada, una fracción de grasa, y opcionalmente una fracción de fibra dietética, (a) que cumple con todas las necesidades nutricionales de acuerdo con las recomendaciones generales para una dieta balanceada y saludable, (b) que es bien tolerada y minimiza las complicaciones clínicas que se asocian frecuentemente con la administración de nutrición enteral en pacientes usando alimentación por sonda, especialmente con respecto a un vaciamiento gástrico reducido, y (c) que es adecuada para alimentación por sonda.
