A coupling member 147, for connecting a first wire mesh panel including a door (163, Fig 44) with a movable bolt (159, Fig 44) to a second wire mesh panel, comprises a hook 165/167 with which a part of the said second wire mesh panel can be engaged, and a keep 159 spaced from the hook, the keep being configured to project from the first wire mesh panel so that the bolt can be engaged with the keep to lock the door closed. A method of assembling a flat pack animal enclosure is also disclosed which comprises joining a first, second and third wall member together so that they form a C-shaped structure in cross section, before fitting a fourth wall between the first and third walls (substantially parallel to the second wall), and hooking fifth and sixth walls to a plurality of hooks provided on the periphery of the fourth wall, before pivoting them such that they lie between the first and third walls.
