PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spinning spool having a lightweight structure which maintains a desired strength and is also excellent in durability and safety by fiber-reinforced prepregs, and to provide a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: The method for producing the spinning spool comprises forming a tapered first molding surface 42, a circular second molding surface 44 extended from the large diameter end portion of the first molding surface, and a third molding surface 46 extended from the outer peripheral edge portion of the second molding surface, on a core 40, winding fiber-reinforced prepregs 34P, 36P prepared by impregnating reinforcing fibers with a synthetic resin on an outer peripheral surface ranged from the first molding surface 42 of the core 40 to the third molding surface 46, and then pressing and thermally curing the fiber-reinforced prepregs arranged on the outer peripheral surface of the core 40 with an outer mold 50 having the first molding surface 52, the second molding surface 54 and the third molding surface 56 corresponding to the core 40 to form the body 22, flange portion 24 and sleeve portion 56 of the spool body 20 between the first molding surfaces 42, 52, the second molding surfaces 44, 54 and the third molding surfaces 46, 56 of the core 40 and the outer mold 50, respectively.COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT【課題】繊維強化プリプレグにより、所要の強度を維持しつつ耐久性、安全性に優れた軽量構造の釣り用スプールおよびその製造方法を提供すること。【解決手段】芯金40に、テーパ状の第1成形面42とこの第1成形面の大径側端部から延びる環状の第2成形面44と、この第2成形面の外周側縁部から延びる第3成形面46とを形成し、芯金40の第1成形面42から第3成形面46にわたる外周面上に、強化繊維に合成樹脂を含浸した繊維強化プリプレグ34P,36Pを巻装し、芯金40に対応する第1成形面52と第2成形面54と第3成形面56とを有する外型50により、芯金40の外周面上に配置した繊維強化プリプレグを加圧し、加熱硬化し、芯金40および外型50のそれぞれの第1成形面42,52、第2成形面44,54および第3成形面間46,56に、スプール本体20の胴部22とフランジ部24とスリーブ部56とを形成する工程を備える方法。【選択図】 図10
