PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planting pot contributing to resource recovery and environmental beautification by recovering a part of a waste plastic PET (polyethylene terephthalate)-bottle to reuse it as the planting pot, and to provide a method for producing the planting pot. SOLUTION: The planting pot comprises a container 5 formed by cutting the PET-bottle, drainage holes 6 formed at the lower part of the container 5 so as to function as drainage means, and a string 4 arranged at the upper part of the container 5 so as to function as a hanging means.
