Disclosed is an antibody which has an immunological reactivity with a polypeptide comprising at least seven contiguous amino acid residues contained in CD179b protein that is identified as a cancer antigen protein capable of being expressed specifically on the surface of a cancer cell or a fragment of the antibody. The antibody or the fragment thereof can be used in a pharmaceutical composition for treating and/or preventing cancer.
