The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for vagus nerve stimulation. In the apparatus for vagus nerve stimulation, the apparatus comprises: a magnetic field generating unit for generating a magnetic field of a pulse type to stimulate a predetermined area including a vagus nerve of a user by the current applied to a coil； a power supply unit for applying current to the coil； and a control unit for controlling the intensity of current applied to the coil, a pulse width of the magnetic field, and a peak interval thereof, wherein the magnetic field has a peak intensity set using the biomagnetic signal of the user.
