The present invention relates to a bandage (100) for the back or pelvis with adjacent pads (60a 60b) which are applied on the inner face of a support piece (10) in the back region of the bandage wherein closure band sections (20a 20b) for fitting the bandage by joining together the ends (22a 22b) of the two closure band sections are arranged on the opposite edge areas of the support piece wherein the support piece is assigned two pull straps (30a 30b) which are guided in such a way that when the pull straps are tensioned the pads come closer together and exert on the body part in question a pressure that is dependent on a tensile force acting on the pull straps.
