The present invention provides conjugates of cytokines and targeting peptidesthat is able to bind to a receptor expressedon tumor-associated vessels or to a component of the extracellular matrixassociated to the tumor vessels, for treatment ofmalignant pleural mesothelioma. In particular, the invention providesconjugates comprising the cytokine TNF linked to a peptidecontaining the NGR motif. The invention further provides pharmaceuticalcompositions comprising such conjugate and pharmaceuticalformulations comprising conjugates dissolved in appropriate buffers.
